Which one shall it be?
Posted by The Downs (stealing from RD & Dibbens) 22 Nov 2001 20:41.22

Hi guys, i know im doing Dave & Grahams time honoured tradition of stealing material, but this is a classic way to start a debate. (Red Dwarf-Backwards) 'If you could have only one which one would you chose, Betty Rubble or Wilma Flintstone?' Can we have no easy options in chosing Jessica Rabbit as everyone would go for her, lets keep it to Wilma and Betty guys (&girls!).

Alternatively............
Posted by becca 23 Nov 2001 02:25.22

Well personally i wouldnt go for either, they both have really annoying voices apart from anything else!!so, instead who would u choose-brad pitt or ben afleck??very hard decision i think ul find!!
beccaxxxxxx

Well...
Posted by Mattous 23 Nov 2001 12:02.31

In my humble opinion its Betty, but thats only because I think Wilma is the kind of woman that would run off with another man, Betty is the kind of girl you settle down with. And The men I'd have to say Ben because of the influence Marie-Claire has had on me, you fancys the pants of him so he much be better then Brad.

Where or where is Michael D?

Has anyone seen or heard from dib's? I ain't seen him for almost a week and he said something about creating animation. Maybe his projector killed him?

The Downs

He's around
Posted by :Mattous 23 Nov 2001 16:21.03

Yeah I saw him last night, he was working on some project and he did post a message on another topic yesterday (cos he came to my house to use my computer). I think the animation is a lot more work than he thought it would be, he's got to do a 6 second animation, which dosn't sound too bad, but theres about 140 drawings in that! So he best get drawing!!!

What are you put to toninght downs? and everyone else???

See you soon!!!

Not sure if u really meant me but il tell u neway!

well i had my panto which was again really good, then went for a drink in the adc bar at the theatre, then went to toxic8,one of cambridge's finer clubs.....well actually it wasnt too bad!!a few too many drunk and lairy men for my liking but never mind.oh and i was rowing ALL AFTERNOON cos they mucked the times up we won our first race (ok if im honest the other boat dropped out but it still counts as a win), but then lost the next one.i was soooo cold cos we basically just sat around for 3 and a bit hours waiting to race, then raced for 600m,then had to row back to the boathouse in the dark, and didnt get back til 5.30 but woohoo its the weekend, and my family are coming to watch my panto tomoz yay!!!except fat boy,the arsewipe has to work.pathetic excuse i think he should pull a sicky cos its worth it,hes really gonna miss out!(as are most of u in fact)anyhow i should really try and get some sleep, mind u yet again im not particularly tired.oh well.........nite nite!!

Well Steph, Stu, Graham, Dave and my good self went to the pub for a couple of hours and i even got Dave to buy me a drink!!! I found everything particularly intresting because of the seven or eight Jack Daniels and coke's i had before i knew i was going out. Anyway how was the alpha thing? & what are we doing tonight, i think i'll drive.

And tonight..................

well yay my family came to see the panto which was fab, then we had the mid-run of the panto party which was fab!!!went to gardies as well (fab place for late night food) and then to the adc bar where we all stayed and drank copious amounts.except we all seemed to stay relatively sober, not too sure how that works.we cycled back tho, and were singing panto songs vv loudly, rounded a corner and police were there, and then all shut up vv quickly!!very funny!and i was actually gonna have an early nite tonight as well............ill sleep when im back in pwood!!

Quick summery of the above
Posted by Jock/ Gareth 29 Nov 2001 15:24.03

In short I'd pick betty cos matt's right Wilma's nothing but a cheating Ho! Nice pair of flinstones though.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dibbs is temporarily out of action because in an attempt to keep up with his art coursework he has taken to drawing at the wheel, and a freak accident involving a 2 by 3 foot drawing board positioned neatly across the windscreen, led to him loosing control of Faffy (or the metro as everyone else calls it) and ending up in a Maidstone ditch, consequently breaking his fingers and unable to type or dial his phone.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Glad to hear that Becky's enjoying uni so much, and glad to see that she still has so much to say for herself sounds like your having a fab time.

Neway prolly see you all when I go to Croydon, otherwise speak to you soon - Jock

Lo man nice to hear from you, I know it has been to long, I just keep seeming to run out of hours in my week. George is me new woman, things are going quite well (i think! but my judgement is pretty bad on these sorts of issues), and yes unfortunatley I am still buried under a shed load of work which I'm actually supposed to be doing now *sigh*.

Sorry to all those who were expecting to see me on saturday night, but I had to write my part for a group presentation, and could't really afford the fuel on my budget. I am sorry though and didn't mean to let anyone down.

Anyway speak to you all soon - Jock

Hi Jock, nice to see you here again.

You missed a pretty funny night on sat (for the benifit of those who don't know we went to see Bob, and he's doing fine, he has a very nice flat), although we mostly watched TV (no Change there then), we saw Monty Python a very very funny film which I haddent seen before ('We are the knights that say Ni!'), and the last 6 of the top 100 singles (3. Hey jude, 2. Bohemin Rpsody (spelt very wrong), and 1. Imagine, Downs wasn't pleased), and that was about it oh and we had to wath the football too (i wasn't very happy about that).

Sorry you missed it Jock. I've got loads of work to do now I'm taking the day off school today to do my personal study second draft, and I haven't really started yet, best get on with it really, see ya!

what a decision
Posted by rachee 03 Dec 2001 22:29.10

well geting back to downses original question ; i'm not sure who i'd choose wilma does seenm to be a bit more of the fiesty time(i think its the hair) and some people like that in a lady, i must say if we were going on looks, i would choose wilma, but since i'm not as shallow as that i would have to agree with my darling mattuse and go with good old betty, shes kinda the girl next dor type who will not only be a wonderful lover but your bestfriend as well.
and on the guys i'd choose neither of them, although i did watch armagedon today , and bn was lokking very nice, but i still think that mathew hardy ( ) and not quite as yummy but still nice; jamie oliverare the best.
its ellejock helo my dear, i hav'nt seen u in ages wats all this about dating a bloke witha long ginger moustage called geoge?(only joking, i'm sure shes lovely, she must be cos dibs sed she was nice,. and you know wat his standards arre like.
I can't wait to see you becca my love!!!!!!!
you must be back now??????????
Yeah it was gud on saturday at boberts, but i missed all the gud bits cos i was ill, so had to retire to lie down and go to sleep..
